iBlogger: Posting to buzz

Blogging with the iPhone has been a dream of mine but I can't seem to find the best applications. BlogPress crashed when attempting a post. Now I'm trying iBlogger.

Sadly, adding pictures in a post is not obvious.

Better Google Profiles - Not follow/follower stats but publishing stats

This picture is AJ (Albert Einstein Junior) sleeping next to my dad. AJ is getting up in years but still is an active dog. He loves to walk and will hop into a bath tub to get clean (unlike Pascal who fights the whole time).

I mention my dad and AJ because they are normal folks. My dad isn't interested in Google buzz. My mom hasn't discovered it yet either. Heck, my parents just got into a discussion over Facebook during the Christmas holidays. My dad is very opposed to the site. However, if both looked at the Google buzz site then they'd be confused, maybe even overwhelmed.

First, how would they decide who to follow? I guess many of us ask that question.

To decide who to follow, we need better Google profiles. Lately I've been reading some of the posts before even clicking on the follow link. Initially, I add and made up my mind after following someone for a few days.

There must be a better way. Instead, we need profiles that show us Google buzz post and comment counts. If someone is posting only RSS feeds then I'm really not interested in following them. If someone is posting just questions then I'm not interested in following. Instead, I'm looking for interesting ideas and thoughts. The post count is usually a good indicator.

What do you think? Do we need better Google profiles or are you satisfied?

Better Format for Google Buzz

Now that the blogger account is being seen in Google buzz, the next series of questions become pertinent.

1. Does blogger appear faster in buzz?
2. Can font formatting be improved within the post?
3. Can the post format be improved?  [This post places an image just below the title to separate the text. I was not impressed that the blogger title in buzz is not bold]
4. Can I get posts from my iPhone into blogger with good formatting?

Let's see what happens. What do you think? Is this worth moving forward on or do you have a better idea?

Testing Google buzz posting through blogger

A few people recommended posting to Google buzz through Blogger. The first advantage over posterous is clearly adding an image.

The button on the toolbar provides the ability to upload an image or to use a link to an image.

How this post looks in Google buzz will be an important determining factor.
